I just retired from Fraser Health Authority (FHA) after 36 years in healthcare. Graduated from BCIT in Health Record Administration and Health Care Management. I was born in Golden, BC, raised in North Burnaby, and have lived in Port Moody the past 28 years. I am married with 3 children and 2 dogs I have my PMP, CCMP (first 500!), Prosci certification, and CTI Coaching certification.

How did you get into Change Management? My career started in health records and finished with FH’s internal consulting team called Strategic Transformation Team (STT). I was a founding member of the team that was established in 2002. STT provided an integrated project and change management service and also strategy and planning services. Initially we did not have a structured change management methodology but always recognized and tried to address the “people side” of change in our projects. We were trained and certified in Prosci in 2011 and adopted it as our core change management methodology. My proudest achievement was the Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH) Critical Care Tower Redevelopment project.

Why did you decide to join ACMP Vancouver?I wanted to remain professionally active in my retirement and was seeking to do volunteer work for an organization and this seemed like a perfect fit! I am excited to be a part of ACMP Vancouver to continue to develop my change management skills, experiences, and networks and also the opportunity to give back to the profession
