Learning Sessions: Behind the Scenes of a Resilience Workshop in Action
How do you design and deliver a resilience workshop for an audience experiencing significant organizational change? And how can change practitioners intentionally build resilience into their own change practice?
Join us for a two-part interactive learning series where two board members will share their experience designing and facilitating Navigating the Change Journey, a resilience-focused workshop delivered to more than 125 employees and leaders within a large public sector organization during a period of substantial change. Developed in partnership with the organization’s change management team, the session focused on helping participants understand their responses to change and build practical resilience skills to navigate uncertainty. Participant feedback highlighted the relevance of the topic, practical approaches and thoughtful delivery.
Part 1: Behind the Scenes – Designing Resilience into Change

Date: Thursday, October 1
Time: 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Location: online
Cost: Registration details coming soon
In this 60-minute virtual session, the facilitators will walk through:
- The context and objectives behind the workshop
- How they worked with the employer’s change management team to understand the audience, set expectations and gather background information
- How they approached the topic of resilience during organizational change
- The structure and flow of the presentation
- Key concepts, activities and discussion points used throughout the session
- Lessons learned from delivering the workshop to a large and diverse audience
- Participant feedback and reflections on what worked well
Using the workshop as a real-world case study, we’ll also explore how these approaches could be adapted for different audiences and organizational contexts, and where resilience can fit within broader change management practice. This is an opportunity to gain insights into the planning, design and facilitation decisions behind the workshop while considering how you might apply or adapt these ideas in your own change work.
