Tell Us About Yourself
I was first introduced to change management in 2002 when I joined a new change management team that was formed to support strategic initiatives within a health authority. Since then I gained both change and project management skills and experience and currently provide these services as an external consultant. I have my project management professional (PMP) designation and proud to be one of the first 500 certified change management professionals (CCMP)!
Why Did You Decide To Join ACMP Vancouver? Why Did You Volunteer on a Committee?
I like the idea of being part of a community of professionals and the opportunities to network and learn from others. I’m excited to be part of the “new/intermediate” member committee. The committee members who are on our team are all great to work with and I figured it was about time I stop being a lurker and get more involved.
What Are You Working On?
I just finished an amazing opportunity where I was a project manager supporting engagement with First Nations communities and have recently transitioned to work on a project within an integrated project delivery team for development of a new health care facility.
Do You Have Any Recommended Change Management Books/Resources To Share?
When someone who is looking to learn more about change management approaches me, I refer him/her to Jeffrey Hiatt’s books. They are so easy to understand and a quick read!
How Do You Like to Spend Your Time Outside of Work?
My two sweet fur babies (dogs) run my life! When I’m not attending to their needs, I’m learning how to cook yummy Korean recipes from my mom and spending time with family. I also enjoy golfing, hiking, tennis and traveling the world with my husband.
