What will our chapter look like in 2027? This question was at the heart of our recent strategic planning session, where the ACMP Vancouver Board came together to shape the future of our chapter. Through collaborative discussions, we refined our vision, mission, and strategic goals, ensuring our work continues to bring value to our members and the broader change management community.
Our Vision: A Thriving Hub for Change Management Excellence
We envision ACMP Vancouver as the go-to community for change management professionals, where practitioners can network, learn from each other, and share best practices. We are committed to fostering a collaborative, vibrant, and engaging environment, ensuring that our members have access to trusted resources, learning opportunities, and meaningful partnerships.
Our Mission: Empowering Change Practitioners
Our refined mission reflects our dedication to supporting individuals and organizations in building change capabilities. We will continue to facilitate high-quality learning experiences, professional development opportunities, and a strong network to advance the discipline of change management.
Three Strategic Goals for 2025-2026
To bring this vision to life, we have established three key goals that will guide our chapter’s activities over the next year:
1. Strengthening Learning & Growth in the Local Change Community
- This could include activities such as hosting learning sessions on emerging topics in change management; facilitating peer-to-peer knowledge sharing through mentoring and networking events; and elevating global ACMP resources while spotlighting local expertise and industry trends.
2. Expanding & Strengthening Connections
- This could include activities such as building stronger partnerships with organizations such as PMI, Prosci, IIBA, and UBC Sauder Continuing Studies; fostering interdisciplinary collaborations to enhance learning, innovation, and impact; and improving member engagement through networking events, social gatherings, and interactive discussions.
3. Strengthening Chapter Operations for Long-Term Sustainability
- This could include activities such as strengthening board succession planning and volunteer engagement; enhancing communication strategies through LinkedIn, newsletters, and direct outreach; and developing clearer governance processes and operational efficiency to ensure stability.
