Board Positions Available
There are currently two exciting opportunities to join ACMP Vancouver’s Board of Directors: Chapter Treasurer and Chapter Secretary.
Chapter Secretary
Our Chapter Secretary Dulcie Smith is taking some time off from the Board to begin a sabbatical that will take her around the world. This means there is an opportunity for someone to join ACMP Vancouver’s Board of Directors as the Chapter Secretary for the remainder of her term: August 2018 – November 2019.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all Chapter records are accurately kept and all information assets are regularly maintained and managed in accordance with Chapter By‐laws, policies, and applicable regulations (e.g.: privacy, etc.).
Dulcie notes that being part of the Vancouver Chapter Board has enabled her to work with other chapters across North America and gain experience working for a non-for-profit board.
Chapter Treasurer
Our Chapter Treasurer Kate Stern is expanding her family and, as a result, there is an opportunity for someone to join ACMP Vancouver’s Board of Directors as the Chapter Treasurer for the remainder of her term (May 2018 – September 2020).
Responsibilities
- Direct the Chapter’s fiscal policy to ensure the integrity of financial management for the Chapter.
- Keep the financial records, including books of account, and render financial statements to the Directors, members and others when required. In addition to financials, there are many other opportunities the Treasurer can pursue to support the board and the chapter, including co-development of chapter engagement strategies, organizing events, and more.
