How did you get into Change Management?
It was an organic evolution really. I’ve been in learning and development for 20+ years and within the last 5-10 (once I was in more senior roles) Change was really a big part of the day to day. Once Change as a profession was more defined and recognized I made the decision to make a permanent switch.
Why did you decide to join ACMP Vancouver?
It’s really about networking, being part of a community of professionals with similar passions/interests and keeping on top of news and industry trends.
What are you working on?
I’m currently consulting with the BC Renal Agency (BCPRA – PHSA) as a Change Management Lead. The team here is developing and rolling out a Province wide renal care software to replace legacy systems and moving from 4 platforms to 1. We’re also in the midst of move towards agile software development.
Do you have any recommended change management books / resources to share?
I just went through my PROSCI certification so all of Jeff Hiatt’s books are top of mind right now
How do you like to spend your time outside of work? We try and get a hike in every weekend as a family if possible. I play hockey, go for the occasional run and sing in a band when I can.
