Change Management Double Feature: The Change Canvas and a Market Update for Change Professionals in BC
Join ACMP Vancouver to learn about the Change Canvas, an exciting new change management tool, as well as a market update for change professionals in BC.
Part 1: The Change Canvas
Justin Balaski, founder of IdeaLeap, will provide an overview to the Change Canvas.
The Change Canvas is a deceptively simple, yet powerful tool that enables the co-creation and alignment of a change strategy with impacted stakeholders.
Gone are the days of creating big, inflexible change management strategies. The more effective approach is to create your strategy with impacted stakeholders, through facilitated sessions using big, visible canvases, and sticky notes.
The goal of the canvas is to help align people in your organization to answer the most important questions they have when change is introduced.
The canvas is completely customizable, but is broken down in different sections, each of which is a critical building block of a change strategy.
JustinBalaski, founder of IdeaLeap, is on a mission to liberate people's creativity and ignite their most passionate ideas, so that they can solve wicked problems and effect meaningful change.
He has more than 10 years of experience in the Organizational Change Management field, with experience leading change management on global projects, establishing Change Management Offices for multi-national organizations, and advising senior executives in multi-billion dollar organizations on the art and science of leading change.
Currently Justin is a Change Management Consultant at BC Hydro where he is supporting the Supply Chain Applications Project; one of the largest IT projects in the organization’s history which is implementing SAP for the organization’s $2.5 Billion/year supply chain. Prior to BC Hydro, Justin was the Manager, Organizational Change Management at Finning Canada, where he developed the firm's organizational change agility while leading a global team of change practitioners and managing a portfolio of large-scale global change programs.
Soraya Savji is a Recruitment Team Lead at Annex Consulting Group and joined the organization in September 2011. Her strengths lie in sourcing and identifying talent for current and future client needs and building last relationships with candidates and hiring managers, ensuring that a perfect fit and connection is made for both parties. Soraya is passionate about mentoring, coaching and training and recently achieved her Associate Certificate in Change Management from UBC. She believes in giving back to the community and has remained involved with the Arts Co-op Program after graduating from UBC. Soraya has also co-facilitated pre-employment training workshops for new co-op students, acted as a mentor and participated in resume and interview workshops.
Outside of work and volunteer commitments, Soraya is a Spin Instructor at Spin Society where she creates an environment for riders to pursue their personal best with a smile on their faces.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This event will be delivered virtually in order to consider the BC Ministry of Health and Public Health Officers recent advice to limit public gathering to help mitigate any potential spread of the COVID19 virus.
