Tell us about yourself.
I’m an avid traveller and big foodie. I have lived in Vancouver all my life and absolutely love it here. Professionally, I identify as someone who works in ‘People & Culture’. My top five strengths (Gallup) are: Communication, Maximizer, Adaptability, Individualization, and Woo.

How did you get into Change Management?
I learned about the role and value of Change Management during my time with Accenture. I have worked on various projects of all sizes; ones where I was the only ‘People Person’ to ones where there are more than 30. My scope of being a ‘People Person’ ranges between Change Management, Business Readiness, Learning and Development, and Organizational Development.

Why did you decide to join ACMP Vancouver?
I joined the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) this year, which means I am no longer living the out-of-my-suitcase lifestyle of being a Management Consultant. Now that I am spending a lot more time in Vancouver, I wanted to connect with Change and OD folks within the Vancouver community.

What are you working on? There’s a few things I’m working on at the moment: competencies, career pathing, our annual employee opinion survey, and leadership development requests from the business.

Do you have any recommended change management books / resources to share? The two that I always recommend are: Our Iceberg Is Melting: Changing and Succeeding Under Any Conditions by John Kotter and Big Change Best Path by Warren Parry. Both use the approach of storytelling, which I believe is very powerful and underutilized.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work? What makes me happy are travel, food, yoga, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. I love exploring different cultures and countries, and food naturally comes along with it. I always have my next trip planned!
